The French Garden

The clients wanted an outdoor area that was to be an extension of the indoor interior. A place where the couple could eat alfresco in a stylish environment. The clients liked anything with a French theme so I decided to build my design idea around that concept. I wanted to design a French style garden but with a modern feel.

I created a paved area with painted brick walls in Duck egg blue using shelving to house selected potted plants and a barbeque area. The clever use of accessories;- An outdoor clock, cushions, French style furniture + a selection of different sized pots with various plants displayed in various groups would all help to really enhance the theme I was trying to make.

The finishing touch was the striped canopy that gave a real continental look and clever use of  blue L E D lighting in specific points would further enhance the concept. The couple adored the finished result and felt I had truly captured the very essence of what they had wanted.
