The brief for this design project was to create an area for twin boys mad on football where they could study, relax, eat and play games. This was to be a transitional room which would serve these purposes up to the age of 18 yrs when they would be pursuing they’re university career.
The room was very large so I wanted to divide it into different areas;-
An area to study with fitted desks and computers that would make more use of the space. A movable wall unit with shelves + cupboards which would be used as a room divider between the study area and the relaxation area.
The relaxation area would have suitable seating with a wide screen tv and movable football seats which could be rolled all around the room. The seating area then acted as a divider between the relaxation area and the dining area. The pool table would be located at the bottom of the room ie;- Games room between the dining and study areas.
The boys were football crazy and supported Sheffield United hence the colour scheme red , white Black and introduction of grey which I felt would stand the test of time.
This transformed the room totally from a childrens room with no purpose to a room which became the centre of family life.
